I haven't done one of these for a long time, so I'm excited to restart my author spotlight feature with Nicole Locker. Nicole writes contemporary romance and is the author of The Boss Series. I've had the pleasure of recently reading book 1 in the series, Boss Unyielding, so I'm thrilled to get to know more about her.

Teresa -  What were a few of your favorite reads from 2017?
Nicole - Some of my favorite reads included The Muse by L.M. Halloran, Mister O by Lauren Blakely, Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland, the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs (all 10 of them!), and the Dragon's Gift series by Linsey Hall (all 15 of them!).

Teresa - Tell me about your latest book release.
Nicole - Well, I just finished my Boss Series at the end of November, but my latest release was Holiday Fling -  a holiday romance that takes place in NYC. It's available in ebook, Kindle Unlimited, paperback, and audiobook (the talented Tracy Marks did a fantastic narration!). I wrote the story for Nanowrimo this past November, and it was a fun, light-hearted, story with an Irish hero that got a lot of great reviews. It's a little less steamy than my usual writing, but there are some good, spicy scenes in there. Well, less than usual, but I did get a recent review saying it had more sex than the person typically liked, so who knows! (Lol)

Here's what it's about:
Two friends. Two weeks in NYC. One chance to make their dreams come true.

Millicent Montgomery has her entire career riding on the two weeks of public events her PR firm is in charge of managing for Brinne Wren, the spoiled heiress of a major software company whose memoir has just hit shelves right before the Christmas Holidays. Her friend, Rhea, aka Goldie, is recently dumped and along for the ride, and Millie is determined to get her friend's mind off the past by setting her up with a hunky doctor they meet in a coffee shop their first day there.

Goldie makes her a deal - I will if you will - after Millie runs into a super studly Irish investor with charm and looks to spare. Too bad Millie's been pining away for an old friend back home who doesn't give her the time of day, but Seamus Gallagher sets his sights on the charismatic Millie, pursuing her relentlessly, even after she discovers the gorgeous, sexy as hell man is the one who's got it out for Brinne and may cost Millie the only shot she has at her biggest dream of making senior partner.

Teresa - How long does it usually take you to write a book?
Nicole- This can vary, but when I put myself on a deadline, I can complete a full book in 30-45 days, though it took me about 3 months to write Boss Unwavering, and about 8 months to write Tragedy and Desire.

Teresa - Do you have any books you’re working on right now?
Nicole - Right now, I'm working on a cowboy romance, which is what my subscribers voted on that they wanted to see next. It's titled Big Man Blue, and it will have tropes including older woman/younger man, sister's best friend/best friend's brother, return to hometown, second chance romance, Enemies to Lovers, and possibly a little bit of a Cyrano story line.  Pulling out all the stops for this one!

Teresa - Tell us something about you that we’d never guess.
Nicole - That's a tough one. Ok, how about this... I'm a super fan of Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium. I've gone to see her live shows twice, once in Colorado Springs, and once in Austin, Texas. I'm a believer! Haha - if that makes me a crack pot, then so be it!

Teresa - What’s your favorite kind of food?
Nicole - This is another tough one. I have Italian heritage, and our cultural motto is that we live to eat instead of eating to live. I'm a big fan of Thai food, so if I can only pick one, I'll go with that, but I love Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and I recently discovered I am a huge fan of Scottish food. The book club I joined last year read a book one month set in Scotland, and our pot luck for that month's meeting was Scottish fare. Everything was so delicious. (Shout out to my book club ladies!)

Teresa - How can readers find out more about you and our books?
